The respect for life of the non-human persuasion came early in life for us; sisters, raised among a myriad of critters. From turtles, snakes, squirrels, pigeons, dogs, horses, rabbits, toads, to the occasional mouse, our interest in varying species was sealed at an early age. And while life and career may have deviated, in part, from our core interests, animals have remained integral and steadfast elements in our well-being and daily tasks.
From grooming to canine and feline 'rescue' ; from the rehabilitation of pigeons and a plethora of other wildlife, our goals are well defined with respect to animal welfare and the manner in which they are, and should be treated in this world. And upon coming out of full retirement, there was no question to what we would do for the remainder of our years.
"Laundromuttz" was born from passion and a core belief that we could contribute, in some small measure, to the welfare and comfort of dogs; this in conjunction with an innate joy for what we do on a daily basis. There is no career more satisfying or joyful than that which does not feel like work.
Our goals are clear as are defined in our policy statement. Our life is full, as is evidenced through new friends made as they entrust their prized family members to our care.

Please understand that grooming is a 'process' and, akin to teaching your child to swim, your pet should be acclimated to the process rather than overwhelmed into the deep end to sink or swim. Some pets take quite naturally to being groomed. Others, through whatever means, are traumatized to the process and must be treated in a manner that instills trust in both the environment and the groomer. Consequently, we may suggest a mini-groom during your pet's initial visit to our shop.
While we strive to complete each groom in the prescribed time, we cannot always anticipate delays; most of which occur when a particular pet requires additional attention, or when clients are running late for their disignated appointments. In any case, we will not 'short-cut' in either circumstance as every client is deserving of our full and complete attention.
